Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Create PowerPoint presentations showcasing product offerings from factories for key accounts.
  2. Source products from factories and develop PowerPoint presentations for key accounts based on trend boards or design requests from key account sales managers (50% of time dedicated to this task).
  3. Collaborate with factories on special design projects tailored to key accounts' needs.
  4. Assist the product development team with designs or projects as required.
  5. Maintain records and provide daily updates for key account projects.
  6. Liaise with factories regarding changes needed for Melrose products or factory designs selected by key accounts, ensuring follow-through for quoting purposes by purchasing.
  7. Attend industry shows and collaborate with Melrose customers.
  8. Communicate effectively with key accounts and purchasing teams regarding project updates.
  9. Act as a mediator between factories, key account sales managers, and purchasing departments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Excellent written communication skills to effectively communicate with factories, particularly those with English as a second language.
  2. Strong ability to follow through with factories to ensure timely project completion.
  3. Meet deadlines set by key account managers for project presentations.
  4. Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Keen attention to detail to implement changes based on factory photos.
  6. Ensure all email correspondence is addressed daily.
  7. Ability to learn and discern which factories are best suited for each project.
  8. Exceptional time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  9. Collaborate effectively with other Melrose teams, taking direction and supporting other departments.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  11. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator preferred, or willingness to learn.
  12. Ability to take direction from factories, key account managers, purchasing, and product development teams.
