We’re having a bit of a Hollywood moment … Check out how our products are being used for a high-fashion display at the California Market Center.
We love L.A.! And the California Market Center is of course one of our most favorite places. Located in the heart of the downtown Fashion District, the California Market Center is home to some of the most on-trend and up-and-coming showrooms in the fashion, gift and home industries (including our own; we moved into the California Market Center in January of this year). So we were more than a little excited when we got to be part of one of the market’s fabulous (and oh-so-very L.A.) displays. Check it out.
The elaborate display, set up in the lobby just before the holiday fashion market, was the idea of Michael Gae, co-owner of the Rep Et Trois showroom. Known for growing brands from relative obscurity to fashion leaders, Rep Et Trois used the display to feature stunning fur vests by design house Dolce Cabo.
“I wanted something theatrical,” Michael tells ApparelNews.net, adding that he wanted to give store owners an idea of how they can creatively display their merchandise in their store windows this upcoming holiday season.
“We are supposed to make people excited and bring customers into the store,” he says, adding that you can’t just put clothes on a mannequin, prop it up in the store window and expect people to wander in.
We couldn’t agree more!
“It’s actually worked out really well for us too,” Dale says. “We’ve gotten quite a bit of businesses coming in now that want to use holiday items differently, in new, non-traditional ways.”
It’s not too early to start thinking about your own holiday displays. For ideas and inspiration, check out some of our lead designer Ken’s Special Projects. And if you have questions, or just need a little help along the way, please ask. We’d love to help you create your own show-stopping display!
