Adams County Fair – A peak into the Midwest life with Melrose!
Summer in the Midwest is all about fireflies and funnel cakes and what better way to celebrate that with a fair!
Do you have memories of going to your local fair or festival, sipping on a milkshake and eating a corndog? Here at Melrose we have the Adams County Fair located just 10 minutes from our headquarters in Quincy, IL.The Adams County Fair has various activities every night including bull riding, a demo derby, Little Miss and Mister Pageants, 4H Buildings and awesome concerts (this year featuring country artist Jerrod Niemann!). In honor of the fair rolling into town this week we’ve asked the Melrose staff to share their favorite fair foods and memories from the Adams County Fair — you may notice a theme when it comes to the food! 😉
Funnel cakes, Taco Salad, and Lemon Shake Ups!!!!! Love the Demo Derby!

Corn dogs for sure!! My parents always made us leave the fair before dark. So, now I make sure we go to the fair in the dark and we ride rides until they shut them down. My kids absolutely love it!
