While Chicago will always be in our hearts, Melrose is making a change. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that, as the winter 2014 market season ends, so will our time in Chicago. After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to close our showroom in the Merchandise Mart and focus on growing our business at our other showrooms across the country. We'd like to thank our Chicago customers for their support over the past 18 years in which we’ve have been showing at the Merchandise Mart. From our first show in our cozy 1,000 square foot showroom in January 1996 to the beautiful 6,000 square foot space we have today, it has been a time of growth and great memories for Melrose. And, we didn’t achieve this growth alone. It is because of our wonderful customers, dedicated reps, and the talented people of the Chicago Gift Market, that we have had such success in the Windy City.

Melrose is now offering iPad shopping as part of the buying experience in the showroom and beyond… When they came out, iPads were seen as a toy for sending email, checking Facebook, and online shopping. Now though, they are making their way into the retail space—and changing things in big ways. You can pay for your apples with a credit card at a Farmer’s Market thanks to POS systems like the Square. And, since last March, you can use an iPad in the Melrose showroom when you’re shopping at the show.
